Alwyn Myburgh

Alwyn Myburgh grew up on a farm in the Kalahari, Botswana. He spent his early childhood with descendants of the San from the Kalahari, hunting and learning the ways of the bush. Upon completion of High School, Alwyn spent a year training to become a Game Ranger in South Africa before joining an up market Mobile Safari Company in Botswana leading group safaris throughout northern Botswana.

He lives in the very remote Kwando Reserve as a manager of a safari camp. Although very much involved in running the camp, he also gets to do a fair bit of guiding too, as well as training guides.

Alwyn is a keen photographer and pursues any opportunity to photograph animals in Africa. He has a tremendous love of the bush which makes him one of our most popular guides!
