Thornybush Shumbalala Lodge, located in the 28,417 acre (11,500-hectare) Thornybush Game Reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park, is built on the
banks of the seasonal Monwana riverbed. Accommodations include four suites and one presidential suite. All suites are air conditioned with private
bathrooms, an outdoor shower and secluded viewing deck with an open fireplace. The main lodge area has two lounges, a library an elevated viewing deck,
curio shop, an open air dining area and a swimming pool. There is also a walk-in underground wine cellar. Rangers and trackers conduct morning and
evening safaris in open Land Rovers. Walks are offered for the more adventurous.
