Samburu Intrepids looks out over the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, where herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra come to drink - together with the rarer 'northern species' of reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and long-necked gerenuk antelope.
The 30 luxury tents each with a private terrace and bathroom have large four-poster beds and colonial furniture. The main lounge and dining areas overlook the river and there is a swimming pool. Camp activities include morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris with skilled Samburu guides outside of the park, sedate camel rides, and raft trips when the river is high.
The Adventurers' Club offers a uniquely educational safari for children of all ages. Bush breakfasts, sundowners and starlit dinners are optional extras as well as a visit to the Samburu villages.
