Ngong House is a beautiful and romantic lodge that gives the impression of being in the African Bush, secluded in 10 acres of private land, only 20 minutes away from downtown Nairobi. Guests stay in imaginative wooden tree-houses all facing the distinctive Ngong Hills (made famous in the film “Out of Africa”). These are not any ordinary tree houses: they are double storied, raised 15ft from the ground to gain uninterrupted views of the Ngong Hills, with superb attention to detail and every comfort imaginable, each representing the ultimate in exclusive accommodation.
The five thatched tree houses are spacious (246 sq ft), and located far apart, hidden by plenty of natural bush. A family-cottage tree lodge is also available, accommodating two extra beds. There are two rooms in the main complex suitable for guests not wanting to climb stairs. Furnished with stained glass windows, fully stocked bar, brass showerheads, comfy couches, hand made furniture, four-poster beds, and decorated with beautiful paintings this is truly elegant accommodation. The lower level boasts a comfortable lounge, centered around a fireplace, and dining area, enabling couples and honeymooners to be served candlelight dinners in the intimacy of their tree house.
