Manyara Ranch Conservancy is a private land conservancy in partnership with the local Maasai communities, Tanzania Land Conservation Trust and African Wildlife Foundation. The ranch is located within the Kwakuchinja Corridor, the migratory route between Tarangire and Lake Manyara national parks. There is a healthy population of wildlife including elephant, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and eland. Predators include cheetah, lion, leopard and even wild dog.
Manyara Ranch Conservancy's accommodations include eight deluxe tents with en suite bathrooms, flush toilets, hot-cold water showers, private verandahs. The main lounge area offers indoor-outdoor dining and small bar. Activities include guided game walks, day and night game drives on the ranch as well as to the neighboring parks, visits to partner villages and bush breakfasts. Horseback riding is available (additional cost apply). Unique to the ranch is participating in research activities to promote ongoing conservation projects in collaboration with the African Wildlife Foundation.
