Kyaninga Lodge

Vintage A lodge or tented camp with very good food and service, and many have swimming pools. The rooms/tents are of good size but perhaps not as large as "Classic" properties. Facilities could be "Classic," but located in a sub-standard game viewing area.

Kyaninga Lodge is perched atop a hill overlooking a crater lake, with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The lodge features eight cottages built on platforms with beautiful appointments of Egyptian cotton bed linen, soft feather pillows, indoor sitting area with a private deck, en suite bathroom with a claw-footed freestanding bath and glass-walled shower. Hot water and lighting in the cottages are solar-powered. The main lodge is spectacular wood structure with comfortable seating areas around the double-sided fireplace. Enjoy delicious local cuisine in the dining room and meet other guests over a sunset cocktail in the lounge. There is a large swimming pool with chaise lounges and expansive decking to soak up the African rays between activities. Its location near Kibale Forest National Park makes it a good base for chimp trekking.
