Cheetah Plains Private Game Reserve is a 17,300 acre reserve within the Sabi Sands that borders Kruger National Park. All the plains mammals can be found here as well as over 300 bird species.
Cheetah Plains offers eight thatched roof chalets that are en suite and air-conditioned. This is a traditional safari lodge with a pool, bar and viewing deck overlooking a waterhole. Activities include morning and afternoon/night game drives with a maximum of nine people per safari vehicle. In between game activities, a visit to the local village, where many of the guides are from, can be scheduled.
We visited the penguins and we saw ostriches and baboons along the road. We did get hop-on hop-off tour bus tickets, this was a great way to see the whole city while listening to the history of the city. We stayed at the Four Rosmead it was great, the staff was helpful and super nice. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms were so cute and the art was so beautiful.
