Scheduled charter flight transfer to Selinda, a private wildlife reserve where only a handful of guests can experience some of Africa's finest wildlife.

Your first night will be spent in either Selinda Camp, a comfortable 9 tented safari camp situated on the banks of the eastern Selinda Spillway, a waterway linking botswana's Okavango Delta to the Linyanti Swamps. The shaded camp has a splendid view over open floodplains dotted with palm islands. Or in Zibadianja Camp, a smaller, intimate 4 tented safari camp situated on a palm island on the edge of Botswana's northern Linyanti Swamps. Close by is the lagoon after which the camp is named. There are panoramic views of open floodplains dotted with palms.

Activities include early morning game drives aboard 4x4 Land Cruisers, followed by an open-air "brunch". There is sufficient time to relax by the pool, siesta, or write postcards before afternoon game drives, with sundowners, continuing into a night drive with spotlights. Occasional bush dinners maybe arranged. Short walks from camp or on drives can also be taken.

On the following morning you set off on your two night walking safari. A special area has been set aside in the Selinda Reserve especially for these walking safaris. The area is located along the Selinda Spillway, a water course linking Botswana's Okavango Delta to the Linyanti Swamps. The walks take you along time-worn trails, through riparian forest and open plains.

Typically, guests undertaking walking safaris, commence their safari at of one of the permanent camps (Selinda or Zibadianja), then break away onto the walk, which ends up three days later, at the other permanent camp for the last night. In total, this is usually a five-day safari.

The walking safari is 3 days with one night each at Mokoba and Tshwene trails camps. There are usually 4 persons on each walk. Private groups of maximum 6 persons can be arranged. There is a fully armed trails guide with tracker.

The camps have twin-bed mini-Meru style safari tents with flysheet. There is a separate hot bucket shower, and flush toilet! Solar lighting is provided. Full service meal preparation is provided with dining around the campfire. Daily laundry is provided.

Each day’s walk is approximately 5 miles inter-camp in the morning, and 2-3 miles walking in the vicinity of camp each afternoon. Enjoy the skills and bushlore of a traditional bushman tracker. A night spotlight drive in big game country aboard a 4x4 Land Cruiser is offered each evening. Elephant, lion, cheetah, wild dog, varied plains game, and great birdlife. Walking safaris are closely in touch with nature. Your guide and tracker will introduce the smaller creatures, and stalk you up on the big game. Night game drives seek out the nocturnal animals.
