Kikoti Camp, Tarangire, Tanzania

Kikoti Camp, located on the periphery of the Tarangire Park, is a 40 bed permanent tented camp with ensuite facilities. Activities include day game drives into the park, shared nature walk with a Masai guide, optional night game drive in the immediate area, and an optional cultural visit to nomadic Masai bomas. Guests will have the opportunity to observe the Datoga tribe, an off shoot of the Masai, in the surrounding area. The Datoga are a pastoral people who migrated into this area looking for good grazing land. They have so far resisted neighboring tribal cultural infiltration. Women still wear fat-treated goatskin gowns and carve their faces and bodies to beautify them.
