Ketumetse Mobile Trails Camp

Depart by a road transfer taking a picnic lunch enroute to the game-rich plains of the North Eastern area of the Okavango Delta. This transfer itself becomes an adventure.

The Ketumutse mobile camp is based in a remote concession where the Okavango system links into the Selinda Spillway. In this seasonally flooded and game rich area there is excellent game viewing and days are spent on game drives looking for lion, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, red lechwe, and elephant and other game that may be found in the area. Activities concentrate on the open herd-filled plains where the seasonal congregations of game make the perfect setting for exclusive game drives, night drives and bush walks.

Ketumutse has five Meru style walk-in mobile tents, with a separate shower and toilet areas for each tent. This is a mobile camp and completely changes location regularly.

The atmosphere of the camp is to maximize the feeling of wild camping, at the same time ensuring exceptional comfort without the feeling that you are in a lodge! 12v electric lights are in the tents, providing quiet surroundings all the time without generator noises. The Camp at night is lit by paraffin lanterns and creates a warm natural safari glow. The dining area is most often under the African sky, set up with flowing white table clothes, candlelight and is fully serviced. When it is in the cooler months, we have a large dining tent, with small bar area, where the tables are set up under canvas with lanterns! This area is permanently setup.

A generous camp fire is at the front of the main dining area, which is lit up generously in the evening by the cooking, lanterns and conversation of the days experiences, in a really home from home personal atmosphere!
