Deception Valley Lodge, Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Botswana

Situated on the northern border of the Central Kalahari and not far from the famous Okavango Delta, lies the Deception Valley Lodge. This luxury lodge provides a rare type of bush experience in one of Africa's most remote semi desert areas. It is the only lodge in this area and also the only lodge that offers a true Kalahari, Bushmen experience.

Accommodation consists of five private units, each with a bedroom for two, a lounge and a Victorian style bathroom with an outside shower. Two main activities are offered at the lodge. Venture out on foot with bushmen guides and awaken your senses by closely observing, smelling, tasting your surroundings. Learn more about the hunting and survival skills, the culture and crafts of one Africa's oldest cultures. On afternoon and night drives one can expect to see a variety of Central Kalahari game including lion, cheetah, leopard, kudu and if lucky, spot the evasive brown hyena.
